..Early and mid next week we expect a taste of fall for the Pacific Northwest and northern Rocky Mountains, including at Bogus Basin and southern Idaho, as a Gulf of Alaska Low pressure system moves in with showers and some lowering snow levels, especially next Wednesday and Thursday (Sep 11th-12th), as 10,000 foot temperatures drop into the upper 20's, dropping snow to 9,000 feet for Bogus Basin in southern Idaho, and the Sawtooth Mountains mainly next Wednesday and Thursday (showers and rain leading up to this starting Monday), dusting the higher 9,000+ foot peaks with some early season snow, cold rain at Bogus Basin (temperatures in the 30's and raining next Wednesday/ Thursday), and possibly several+ inches accumulation for the higher peaks in the Sawtooth Mountains. This is not that unusual, but it is a nice reminder of how fast winter is coming for sure!
