This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Kentucky, portions
of southeast Ohio, southwest Virginia, and portions of southeast,
southern and western West Virginia.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

   Flood Watch.

Rounds of strong to severe storms are expected today into tonight.
Damaging winds are the main threat, though large hail and tornadoes
could also occur. Heavier downpours or training thunderstorms may
also cause flash flooding, particularly in already saturated areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Strong winds are possible Saturday, with peak gusts as high as 30 to
35 mph.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM NOON EDT TODAY THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kentucky, including the following
  counties, Boyd, Carter, Greenup and Lawrence, southeast Ohio,
  including the following counties, Gallia and Lawrence OH,
  southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Buchanan and
  Dickenson, and West Virginia, including the following counties,
  Boone, Cabell, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, McDowell, Mingo,
  Northwest Fayette, Northwest Raleigh, Putnam, Southeast Fayette,
  Southeast Raleigh, Wayne and Wyoming.

* WHEN...From noon EDT today through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Rounds of showers and thunderstorms containing heavy rainfall
    will impact the area today through tonight.
