Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Duluth MN 307 PM CDT Mon Sep 15 2025 MNZ010>012-018>021-025-026-033>038-WIZ001>004-006>009-162015- Koochiching-North St. Louis-Northern Cook/Northern Lake- North Itasca-Central St. Louis-Southern Lake/North Shore- Southern Cook/North Shore-North Cass-South Itasca-South Cass- Crow Wing-Northern Aitkin-South Aitkin-Carlton/South St. Louis- Pine-Douglas-Bayfield-Ashland-Iron-Burnett-Washburn-Sawyer-Price- 307 PM CDT Mon Sep 15 2025 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight Strong northeast winds will increase the threat of rip currents this afternoon through this evening for areas near the Twin Ports, including the beaches of Duluth and Superior. A Beach Hazards Statement has been issued for these areas. There is a chance of widely scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Isolated strong to severe storms could occur mainly over far northern Minnesota if storms can develop there, with primary hazards of hail up to ping pong ball size and damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph. Additional fog development is likely tonight. Areas of dense fog are possible, with the best potential in east-central Minnesota, the Twin Ports, and the higher terrain of the North Shore. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday Areas of dense fog will dissipate Tuesday morning. Thunderstorms are possible Tuesday evening into Tuesday night, and a few storms could become strong Tuesday evening. Additional rounds of thunderstorms are possible Wednesday into Friday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
