This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Strong northeast winds will increase the threat of rip currents
through this evening for areas near the Twin Ports, including the
beaches of Duluth and Superior. A Beach Hazards Statement has been
issued for these areas.

After the mid afternoon storms, another round of showers and
storms are possible across the Northland tonight, with a 50 to 80
percent probability for storms in north-central to northeast
Minnesota tonight, with a lower chance of 20 to 40 percent in
northwest Wisconsin. Some storms could be strong to severe tonight
in northern Minnesota.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Additional rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms are forecast
Monday through Wednesday night, mainly across northwest Wisconsin.
Large hail, damaging winds, and locally heavy rainfall which could
lead to flash flooding are the main hazards. A tornado or two are
also possible.

There are additional chances of thunderstorms Thursday through
next Sunday.

Hot and humid conditions are forecast to continue through
Wednesday. The risk of heat-related illness will also continue.

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values of 100 to 105 expected Monday afternoon
  and 95 to 100 Tuesday afternoon. Monday night heat indices will
  remain around or above 70 degrees, which will still be hazardous
  for anyone without shelter after the heat Monday afternoon.

* WHERE...Price, Ashland, Bayfield, Iron, and Sawyer Counties. This
  includes the Tribal Lands of the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation,
  the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Bad River
  Reservation and the Red Cliff Band. Other locations including
  Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
