Frost is expected for the Twin Ports and Arrowhead tonight due to temperatures dropping into the mid-30s alongside lighter winds. Near-critical fire weather will persist this afternoon for far northern Minnesota. Hazardous swimming conditions from rip currents along the Lake Superior shoreline will continue into this evening with strong winds and high waves. There is a 20 percent chance for thunderstorms within rain showers tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday Localized minor flooding continues over portions of the Boundary Waters. Incoming waves in rapid succession can tire even an experienced swimmer quickly. Rip currents can move you away from land. To avoid being swept away, swim parallel to the shore to exit a rip current.
