...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Litchfield County in northwestern Connecticut, Berkshire
  County in western Massachusetts, Bennington and Windham Counties
  in southern Vermont, and portions of the eastern Catskills,
  Helderbergs, Schoharie Valley, Capital District, Mid Hudson
  Valley, and Taconics in New York.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM EDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - With a humid air mass remaining in place, additional showers
    and thunderstorms with heavy downpours are expected to
    develop early this morning. As these showers and
    thunderstorms track southeastwards today, heavy rainfall
    rates will lead to an increased risk for flash flooding.
    Urban, low lying and poor drainage areas will be most
    susceptible to flooding.
