...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO
7 PM EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 14
  and 24 inches with 24 to 30 inches possible in the eastern
  Catskills, northern Berkshires and southern Greens.

* WHERE...All of eastern New York and western New England.

* WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 7 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult due snow covered roads and
  reduced visibilities. The hazardous conditions will likely impact
  the Monday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will begin to overspread the area from
  south to north this morning into the early afternoon. The
  steadiest and heaviest snow is expected this afternoon through
  tonight where snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will be
  common. Where any bands of heavier snow develop, snowfall rates
  could reach 2 to 4 inches per hour for a time. Snow will become
  lighter by Monday morning and continue for much of the day before
  ending early Monday evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
