...DENSE FOG ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

* WHERE...Carlton and South St. Louis Counties. This includes the
  Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
  In areas where temperatures are near or below freezing, the fog
  could result in icy roads, sidewalks, and other surfaces.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dense fog is mainly expected up the hillside,
  along the ridgeline and into the higher terrain of the Twin Ports.
  Little to no fog is possible along the shorelines.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If driving, slow down, use your low-beam headlights and fog lights,
and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM SUNDAY TO 6 AM CST
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snowfall with light ice accumulations expected. Total
  snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches and ice accumulations
  around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Pine and Carlton and South St. Louis
  Counties. In Wisconsin, Burnett and Washburn Counties. This
  includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band, the St. Croix
  Band in Burnett County and the Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley and, Lena
  Lake areas.

* WHEN...From 9 AM Sunday to 6 AM CST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Monday morning commute.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Areas of freezing drizzle may produce a glaze of ice across the
Borderlands and Minnesota Arrowhead. A Winter Weather Advisory is
in effect.

Freezing fog continues this morning along higher elevations of the
Twin Ports and along the North Shore. Reduced visibility down to
one quarter mile and create a very thin glaze of ice on elevated
or untreated surfaces. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect into this
evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Moderate to heavy snow is expected Sunday into Monday, with the
highest accumulations of 6 inches or more along the I-35 corridor
and east across Northwest Wisconsin where a Winter Storm Watch is
in effect. Locally higher totals are expected on the South Shore.
Strong northwest winds with gusts of 30 to 50 mph may lead to
blowing and drifting snow and reduce visibility.

Temperatures will trend below zero at night starting Sunday
night. Wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero are forecast Monday
morning and then each morning from Wednesday through Friday.
Frostbite can develop on exposed skin in 10 to 30 minutes at
these wind chills.

Skywarn spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
