This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Dense fog is expected around the Twin Ports tonight. A Dense Fog
Advisory is in effect.

Rain over the Arrowhead may lead to some localized rises in water
levels of rivers and streams. Localized minor flooding is
possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Dense Fog is expected around the Twin Ports through mid morning. A
Dense Fog Advisory is in effect.

Severe storms are possible Monday afternoon and early Tuesday
south of a line from Pine River to Duluth to Hayward.

Rainfall Monday and early Tuesday may cause additional minor
flooding.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

For the month of April we are actively recruiting for CoCoRaHS,
the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow network. If you
would like to volunteer to become a regular reporter of rain hail

information.

The National Weather Service in Duluth, MN is proposing to
discontinue the Hazardous Weather Outlook product on or around
May 11 2026 because it is a redundant product. Please note that
no other products including forecasts, warnings, and NOAA Weather
Radio will be changing, only the Hazardous Weather Outlook
product is proposed to be discontinued. Feedback on the proposal
to discontinue the Hazardous Weather Outlook is open through May
11. Please email nws.duluth@noaa.gov with your feedback. Again to
repeat, NOAA Weather Radio is not going away and we will continue
to issue forecasts and warnings.

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING THROUGH
LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Cook and Lake Counties. This includes the
  Tribal Lands of the Grand Portage Reservation.This also includes
  the Boundary Waters eastern and central area.

* WHEN...From 10 AM CDT this morning through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Around 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected to fall. Eastern
    Cook County also has several inches of lingering snowpack.
    While rainfall rates are not expected to be heavy, prolonged
    moderate rainfall on top of saturated soils and should lead
    to runoff. Area rivers and streams are already running at
    elevated levels and could rise to minor flooding levels with
    runoff due to the additional rainfall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
