This hazardous weather outlook is for Eastern Upper Michigan and
Northern Lower Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

High swim risks are in place across most Lake Michigan beaches and
the Lake Huron beaches of eastern Chippewa and eastern Mackinac
counties.

There is a chance of thunderstorms later this evening into
tonight, primarily across portions of eastern upper and northwest
lower Michigan. Severe weather is not expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated but any reports of
waterspouts are appreciated.

...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerous swimming conditions due to 3 to 5 foot waves
  and rip currents expected this morning. Waves subside to 2 to 4
  feet into the afternoon, with rip current risk remaining.

* WHERE...Emmet, Leelanau, Benzie, Manistee, Southeast Chippewa,
  Eastern Mackinac and Charlevoix Counties, and Beaver Island
  and surrounding islands.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water
  and high waves can sweep people off piers.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
