This hazardous weather outlook is for Eastern Upper Michigan and
Northern Lower Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A period of light freezing rain/ drizzle is expected to continue
through early afternoon across much of northern lower Michigan.
Please see the latest Winter Weather Advisories for additional
details.

A significant winter storm is expected to impact the area tonight
and Monday, bringing with it gusty winds and accumulating snow.
The greatest potential for significant snow is across eastern
upper Michigan and the traditional snow belt locations of
northwest lower Michigan. Significant ice accumulations from
freezing rain are expected across eastern upper Michigan Sunday
evening as well. Please see the latest Winter Storm Warning,
Winter Storm Advisories, and High Wind Watch for additional
details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Periodic chances for accumulating lake enhanced snow will continue
through next week.

AFTERNOON...
...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM MONDAY TO 1 AM
EST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, freezing drizzle expected.
  Total ice accumulations likely remaining under a tenth of an inch.
  For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow expected. Total snow
  accumulations between 8 and 12 inches...with locally heavier
  amounts possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph, resulting in
  significant blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...Antrim, Charlevoix, and Otsego Counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 1 PM EST this
  afternoon. For the Winter Storm Warning, from 1 AM Monday to 1 AM
  EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and
  blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make
  travel dangerous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be
  very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday
  morning and evening commutes. Strong winds could cause tree damage
  and power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible
power outages.

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
