...HIGH IMPACT LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND WINDS FOR THE THANKSGIVING
HOLIDAY...

.Heavy lake effect snow and strong winds will combine to create
dangerous travel at times across parts of northern Michigan
Wednesday night through Friday. Worst widespread travel conditions
are expected Wednesday evening into Thursday morning with continued
heavy lake effect across parts of the area through Friday.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING
TO 7 PM EST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow and strong winds expected. Total snow
  accumulations between 2 and 5 inches. Locally higher amounts
  possible near the lakeshore of Presque Isle county. Winds gusting
  as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Alpena, Cheboygan, Emmet, and Presque Isle Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Snow and strong winds will lead to significant drops in
  visibility at times, making for hazardous travel.

A high impact lake effect snow event will commence across
northwest lower and eastern upper Michigan this evening into
tonight. High snowfall amounts and strong wind gusts will lead to
significant drops in visibility, blowing and drifting snow, and

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

A high impact lake effect snow event will continue across
northwest lower and eastern upper Michigan Thanksgiving day

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will blow around loose objects, including
  blowing and drifting snow. Tree limbs could be blown down and a
  few power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially in
