.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Southerly wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected on Saturday.
Low relative humidity, dry conditions and the gusty winds will
lead to critical wildfire conditions on Saturday. Any fires that
start could spread rapidly.

The need for weather spotter reports is not anticipated at this

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5TH...

.A low-level jet bringing southerly winds as high as 35 to 40 mph
is expected to co-inside with relative humidities dipping down
into the lower to mid 30 percents and ongoing abnormally dry to
severe drought conditions Saturday afternoon. While moisture will
increase from the west later in the afternoon, the dry and windy
conditions will be create an ideal environment for rapid fire
growth and spread.

WESTERN AND CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN...

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a Red Flag
Warning FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, which is in effect
from noon EDT /11 AM CDT/ to 5 PM EDT /4 PM CDT/ Saturday.

* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 001 Keweenaw, Fire Weather
  Zone 002 Ontonagon, Fire Weather Zone 003 Northern Houghton,
  Fire Weather Zone 004 Baraga, Fire Weather Zone 005 Marquette,
  Fire Weather Zone 009 Gogebic, Fire Weather Zone 010 Iron,
  Fire Weather Zone 011 Dickinson, Fire Weather Zone 012
  Menominee, Fire Weather Zone 013 Delta and Fire Weather Zone
  084 Southern Houghton.

* Winds...South 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* Relative Humidity...As low as 33 percent.

* Temperatures...Up to 70.

* Impacts...Burn restrictions are likely in effect. for more

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures and
exceptionally dry fuels will create dangerous wildland fire
conditions. Campfires, outdoor grills, smoking materials,
fireworks, chain saws, and all-terrain vehicles all have the
potential to throw a spark and ignite a dangerous and destructive
fire.

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of this Red Flag Warning.

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 33 will result in frost formation.
  However, closer to Lake Superior, temperatures will not fall as
  much as farther inland, preventing frost formation near Lake
  Superior.

* WHERE...Alger, Delta, Dickinson, Iron, Luce, Marquette, Menominee,
  Northern Schoolcraft, and Southern Schoolcraft Counties.

* WHEN...From 2 AM EDT /1 AM CDT/ to 9 AM EDT /8 AM CDT/ Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive
  outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
