This hazardous weather outlook is for Eastern Upper Michigan and
Northern Lower Michigan.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Elevated fire danger is expected across northeast lower Michigan
through this afternoon.

A brief period of locally strong winds will be possible, mainly
across northern lower Michigan with the time frame of highest
gusts generally between 4-8 PM.

Thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and mainly
tonight. Locally heavy rain will be the main concern.

Localized flooding will linger near rivers, lakes, and poor
drainage areas.

...Locally strong winds late this afternoon/early evening...

While breezy southeast winds will be common through tonight, locally
stronger wind gusts are possible late this afternoon through early
evening behind a decaying line of showers and thunderstorms
approaching from the southwest. Winds may gust as high as 45 to 55
mph, with the most likely time frame for these stronger gusts being
between 4-8 PM.
