This hazardous weather outlook is for Eastern Upper Michigan and
Northern Lower Michigan.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Sharply colder temperatures will move into northern Michigan this
afternoon through tonight with dangerously wind chills into
Saturday morning. Please see the latest Cold Weather Advisory for
more information.

Accumulating lake effect snow and blowing snow are expected
across far northwest lower Michigan this evening through tonight.
Pockets of significantly reduced visibility and hazardous travel
are expected. Please see the latest Winter Weather Advisory for
latest details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Ice jams may cause localized flooding on area rivers.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Eastern Upper and Northern Lower Michigan.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 9 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly.
