...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of central Michigan, including the following
counties, Mecosta and Montcalm.
* WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 400 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly in the warned area.
- Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with locally 4 inches fell
since Tuesday evening. This has resulted in flooding and road
washouts in spots. Therefore the Flood Warning has been
extended until 1100 AM this Wednesday morning.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Big Rapids, Greenville, Stanton, Howard City, Edmore, Carson
City, Lakeview, Morley, Mecosta, Canadian Lakes, Crystal,
Sidney, Remus, Millbrook, Sheridan, Sand Lake, Barryton,
Stanwood, McBride and Pierson.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
