Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Marquette MI 314 PM EDT Mon Apr 13 2026 MIZ001>007-009>014-084-085-141915- Keweenaw-Ontonagon-Northern Houghton-Baraga-Marquette-Alger-Luce- Gogebic-Iron-Dickinson-Menominee-Delta-Southern Schoolcraft- Southern Houghton-Northern Schoolcraft- 314 PM EDT Mon Apr 13 2026 /214 PM CDT Mon Apr 13 2026/ This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Upper Michigan and western Upper Michigan. .DAY ONE...Tonight Another round of showers and thunderstorms move through Upper Michigan tonight. Some of the storms could be severe, potentially bringing damaging hail followed by winds to the area; the highest chances for severe weather are in Menominee County. See the latest Area Discussion for additional details. The showers and storms could also bring heavy rainfall to the area, with up to around a 40% chance for rainfall amounts over an inch (highest over the south central). The rainfall (potentially heavy) could exacerbate flooding seen over the south central yesterday and today. See the latest Area and Hydro Discussions for additional details. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday A prolonged period of well above freezing temperatures and higher dewpoints will bring increased snowmelt. This, combined with periods of potential heavy rain and thunderstorms, will accelerate river rises and lead to ponding of water in areas with poor drainage. A Flood Watch remains in place for all of Upper Michigan through Wednesday morning. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotters are encouraged to report any observed flooding, hail, or wind damage from rain showers and thunderstorms to the National Weather Service in Marquette. The public may also submit reports to the National Weather Service via phone, on our website, or through social media. $$
