Considerable blowing snow will occur over the higher mountain passes and above timberline, creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions. By the afternoon, snow will decrease in coverage and intensity and snow will come to an end tonight. A couple bands of snow will likely spread onto the northern plains mainly in northern Weld and Logan Counties. There will be light snow accumulation that is likely less than inch. Strong winds are expected today in the Front Range mountains and foothills. Gusts up to 65 mph are possible late this morning and through the afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday A system will bring another round of accumulating snow to the mountains this weekend. Light snow is expected across the plains. Another system could bring widespread light snow to our forecast area on Tuesday. Temperatures Tuesday night and through the end of next week may be well below normal. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight. However, any reports of accumulating snow will be appreciated. $$
