This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon,
first over the Pikes Peak Region, with activity moving east and
south later in the day. A few storms could become strong to
severe, mainly over the Palmer Divide and the plains north of
Highway 50. Main impact concerns will be gusty outflow winds 50
to 60 mph, and hail up to 1 inch in diameter.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Available moisture continues to increase across the region through
the upcoming work week, leading increasing chances of daily showers
and thunderstorms. Storms that do develop will be slow moving, with
locally rainfall bringing an increased risk for flash flooding,
especially over and near burned or burning areas.

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.

...AIR QUALITY HEALTH ADVISORY FOR WILDFIRE SMOKE FROM 900 AM
SATURDAY UNTIL 900 AM SUNDAY...

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has
issued the following...

WHAT...Air Quality Health Advisory for Wildfire Smoke.

WHERE...Delta, Montrose, San Miguel, Ouray, Dolores, Gunnison, San
Juan, Hinsdale, Mineral, Chaffee, Saguache, Rio Grande, Alamosa,
Fremont, Custer and Pueblo Counties. Locations include, but are
not limited to Delta, Montrose, Nucla, Telluride, Ouray, Dove
Creek, Gunnison, Silverton, Lake City, Creede, Buena Vista,
Salida, Saguache, Del Norte, South Fork, Alamosa, Canon City,
Westcliffe and Pueblo.

WHEN...900 AM Saturday July 04 to 900 AM Sunday July 05

IMPACTS...Moderate to heavy smoke transported from several
wildfires in Colorado and Utah will be possible within the
advisory area through at least Sunday morning.

HEALTH INFORMATION...Public Health Recommendations: If smoke is
thick or becomes thick in your neighborhood you may want to remain
indoors. This is especially true for those with heart disease,
respiratory illnesses, the very young, and older adults. Consider
limiting outdoor activity when moderate to heavy smoke is present.
Consider relocating temporarily if smoke is present indoors and is
making you ill. If visibility is less than 5 miles in smoke in
your neighborhood, smoke has reached levels that are unhealthy.
