Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop late this morning and afternoon, favoring the higher terrain initially with coverage becoming more widespread into the lower valleys late this afternoon and evening. Storms are likely to continue through the overnight hours. Threats from these storms are gusty winds, frequent lightning, small hail and brief heavy rain with localized flash flooding on or near recent burn scars. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will become more widespread to numerous Thursday and Friday as a disturbance moves through the region with wetting rain more likely. At 313 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles west of Pagosa Springs, or 24 miles northwest of Dulce, moving northeast at 30 mph.
