On Sunday expect A weak weather disturbance moves through on Sunday with some moisture, triggering showers and some snow accumulations above 3,000 feet and above, a cold rain in the valley areas…
Monday and Tuesday a very wet storm moves through with 1/2 to 1" of water, translating to snow on the order of 1/2 to 1 foot (15cm to 30cm), above 4,500 to 6,000 feet (1,400 to 1,800 meters).

LONGER RANGE OUTLOOK: High pressure ridging mostly dominates the western US and southwest Canada mainly by late next week (25 Oct or so) possibly into early November as the eastern US gets a turn at unsettled weather. A few storm systems clip the area with some high mountain snow and valley showers, mostly light, otherwise mostly clouds and sun mixed are expected.
It is looking like some seriously cold air and unusual pre-Halloween snowfalls are possible in many areas of the eastern US, with snow possible even to northern Georgia and Mississippi before Halloween! Around or just after Halloween (early November), expect a shift back to unsettled for the western US and British Columbia, with more snow and probably colder than usual weather, early season additional accumulations also. Early to mid November looks busy with storms and snow all across the western US and southwest Canada.
Expect a colder and more snowy winter for Revelstoke and Kingfisher Heli this season. I am thinking early openings possible on some great early season conditions. We are in a neutral ENSO pattern (no El Nino or La Nina), leaning to La Nina this winter 2019-2020 I would say. More details are coming. Meteorologist/ Chris Manly
