* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches. Winds
  gusting as high as 45 mph. Some blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...In New York, Eastern Rensselaer County. In Vermont,
  Bennington County.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow
  could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest amounts are expected to occur
  along the Rensselaer Plateau and southern Green Mountains.

...EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO
1 PM EST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 to 30 below
  expected.

* WHERE...Litchfield County in northwest Connecticut, the Berkshires
  of western Massachusetts, the mid Hudson Valley and Taconics in
  eastern New York, and Bennington and western Windham Counties in
  southern Vermont.


* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 1 PM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 15 minutes.
  Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
  exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
