Thus portions of the Advisory may be canceled early. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. A line of thunderstorms are expected to move into the area from the northwest mainly after midnight. Some storms may be able to produce gusty winds as they arrive, especially northwest of a line generally from Cedar Rapids to Dubuque Iowa. Otherwise, they should be in a weakening mode as they spread further to the south and east into Thursday morning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY Dangerous heat and oppressive humidity are forecast to continue Thursday, however clouds and thunderstorms may bring temporary relief from the heat across portions of the Outlook Area, especially north of Interstate 80. A Heat Advisory remains in effect into Thursday for afternoon heat index readings up to 105 degrees. Thunderstorm chances will increase again Thursday into Saturday along a slow moving cold front. Some storms may be strong to severe on Thursday along with the capability to produce heavy rainfall. For the rest of week and into the weekend, it is too early to determine the threat for severe weather. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
