Severe weather remains likely in the region this afternoon through evening with a level 4 of 5 risk for severe weather in northern Iowa and a level 3 of 5 conditional risk in much of the rest of Iowa. Damaging winds, very large hail, and tornadoes; some strong, are all possible. The highest chances are in northern Iowa, north of US-20 with more uncertainty in storm coverage farther south and west. Many locations will not see any storms today, but if/where storms develop, they have the potential to be extremely strong and dangerous.
