...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet.
  Up to an additional 3 feet over the highest peaks. Also, 3 to 6
  inches of snow expected down to 3,000 feet and up to 3 inches down
  to 2,000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Sierra Nevada.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening
  commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels around 2,000 to 2,500 feet this
  morning, 3,000 to 4,000 feet this afternoon, and lowering back to
  2,000 feet by this evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM FRIDAY TO 10 AM PST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Low temperatures of zero to ten degrees above 6,000 feet of
  the Sierra Nevada. Low temperatures of 10 to 20 degrees in the
  Sierra Nevada below 6,000 feet into the adjacent foothills.

* WHERE...Sierra Nevada and foothills.

* WHEN...From 4 AM Friday to 10 AM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite possible on unprotected skin. Wind chills
  reaching well below zero degrees on Friday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
