...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM PDT
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow. Snow accumulations tonight of 2-4 inches on the
  Sierra crest. Then for Wednesday-Thursday morning, 4-8 inches west
  of Highway 89 with 6-12 inches along the Sierra crest. 1 to 3
  inches possible at lake level. Sierra valley gusts of 45 to 55
  mph. Wave heights on Lake Tahoe from 3 to 6 feet. 100 mph gusts on
  the ridgetops.

* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

* WHEN...Until 8 AM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
  Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power
  lines.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds are expected on Wednesday
  night between 8 PM and 5 AM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by
calling 5 1 1.

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving, especially during the morning commutes. If you are going
outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and
driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your
risk of a fall and injury.
